Creating tilted and stacked maps in R using ggplot2

I've just created a gist showing how to create tilted and stacked maps in R using ggplot2 in two steps. This was only possible thanks to Barry Rowlingson, who got the solution of the 1st step (which is 90% of the task). Here is how to do it:

The next impressive step would be to do it with a Shiny drop down list, so that users can choose the layers. Very cool.
